Fishing and Feeding

We went on our first family fishing trip today and it turned out to be
quite an adventure. We took a special trip to the store to buy Izek his first fishing pole (he picked out a Transformers one). I must first tell you that Izek has been a little sick lately and had a really rough week. He was still so excited to go fishing. After shopping for fishing gear we drove to Castaic Lake and had a picnic. Scott and I like to call this the "before" picture.

Izek was so excited to go fishing he kept telling us he wanted to do it by himself. "No, help me dad!" He kept telling Scott. Here is a great shot of Scott and Izek fishing.

Then all of a sudden during our fun family outing it became extremely windy. So...Maxwell started crying because he didn't like the wind and Izek started falling over from the wind and decided he didn't want to fish anymore. Now with both boys crying...Scott and I looked at each other; laughed, and started loading up the car. As we drove home we figured that we spent 2-3 hours loading up the car, shopping for gear, picnicing, unloading the gear and about a total of TEN MINUTES actually fishing. We just laughed the whole way home. What fun family memories!! OH YEAH - we like to call this the "after" picture!

CEREAL TIME

A few weeks ago Scott gave Maxwell his first taste of rice cereal. Not much made it in his mouth of course...and then he decided to help dad hold the bowl. After a few minutes determined little Maxwell decided he was not ready. We were going to post the pictures of him crying but we decided they were way too sad. Mom waited a few more days and tried again...but to no avail. I guess when he is ready for cereal he will let us know...maybe by then he will be feeding himself (haha)!

Glad to see that your blog is up and running now. Yeah! I'm very excited. Your fishing trips remind me of the snow trips when it takes much longer to get ready and drive up to the snow and two seconds for everybody to be freezing and ready to go home! Fun Family Times. Hey, I missed you. What happened?? Thought you would be stopping through?
